Uncle Scoopy's Top 20 Nude Scenes of 2022

Overview:

For the 24th consecutive year, the readers of Uncle Scoopy's Fun House and related sites have chosen their favorite nude scenes.

The voting took place in stages.

In stage one, nominations were accepted from all readers of Other Crap for a full month. That list also includes links to sample images from each nominee.

In stage two, all voters were allowed to rank all nominees from top to bottom, and a seeded list of finalists was created from the results.

In stage three, voters were asked to name one and only one of the choices as their selection for the top nude performance of the year. The numerical results of the balloting can be found here.

In a way, the poll represented a reversal of current trends, in that the list was not dominated by TV or streaming series. Six of the top eight scenes took place in feature-length films.

Except for Sydney Sweeney, who continues to be our flavor of the day, the list is dominated by actresses who have not appeared on the lists in previous years. The only other repeater from 2021 is Virginie Efira, who is now the reigning queen of  full-frontal nudity.

The poll doesn't necessarily reflect the quality of the scenes in the same order I would rank them objectively. Voters also take into account the familiarity of the scene, whether the scene is historically noteworthy, the popularity of the actress,  and whether the actress was breaking new ground in her nudity career. The state it simply, the list hinges on how much the voters wanted to see the individual actresses naked.

Hypothetically, if the same actress had performed every scene, I would rank the scenes as follows: (1) Virginie Efira in Waiting For Bojangles, for creativity, beauty and total nudity; (2) Angeli Khang, for an absolutely outstanding performance that served as a fitting representative of the dozens of great scenes turned out by the Philippines in 2022; (3) Miracle Watts in P-Valley for just plain hot sex; (4) Emma Corrin in Lady Chatterley's Lover, for beauty, prestigious presentation, and the total running time of nudity; (5). Karin Viard in Dear Mother, which is immensely entertaining; .

One has to give a special shout-out to Emma Thompson, a great and beloved talent for many decades, who courageously stripped stark naked, undaunted by her age or her less-then-perfect shape.

But hypothetical results are not the same as actuals. Some films and their stars are too obscure to rule the day. We know Maia Mitchell and Brittany Snow, and have watched them grow up in family-friendly entertainment. They were the ones we really wanted to see naked.
